Thanks to Angie Virdis from Uniting Care Community

Thank you Angie for talking to our Year 10, Year 11 and Year 12 students this month about Addictions and dangers of pornography.

Thank you very much Angie.
We appreciate your presentation on this topic.

We understand this is a controversial topic to present to students, however with the internet making these sites so easily accessed by students of today compared to years ago, and with some students encouraging others to look at these sites, it is important to educate our students with a trained knowledgable person doing the presentation.

I have had parents let me know that their sons are accessing these sites, so I am aware it is happening. I know some students have accessed these sites and have also made a conscious decision to stop doing it.

Angie discussed that looking at pornography has a large number of negatives for a impressionable growing student. She discussed this behaviour can soon become an addictive behaviour which can affect all parts of someones life.

Please feel free to open the lines of communication with your children because of this talk. It is not an easy topic to discuss but it is important to know the negatives of this kind of behaviour.

With the internet making these sites so easy to access, it is important we try and educate our students about the dangers of this type of behaviour.

Thanks for your support.

Thanks.
PR.
