Year 11 Leadership Camp
Year 11 students enjoyed a fantastic leadership camp at Chaverim from 15-17 June. Over the course of the three days, we participated in many activities which used our leadership and teamwork skills. These activities included climbing around a tree connected to your team mates, climbing a pamper pole and challenging yourself to jump off, canoeing, low ropes, high ropes and flying fox. These activities were not only a great way to test teamwork skills but we also learnt and got to know a lot more about ourselves and each other. At the end of very long days, after dinner, a few boys and Mr Robinson organised a campfire for everyone. This was a great opportunity for us to relax and also have conversations with people we may not normally to talk to, which was excellent. During camp, we agreed on a design for our senior jerseys for next year. We also discussed student leadership positions in year 12. This camp was a massive success. It was great fun and the whole cohort created a stronger bond and we all became more comfortable with each other. A huge thank you to Mr Robinson who organised and lead us through the whole camp. Thanks also to our PC teachers, Mr Ryan, Mrs Romeo, Mrs Goodchap and Mrs Aplin. Thanks to all year 11 students for your efforts and teamwork on camp. We are all looking forward to our final year in 2017 and all of us working together and leading the school.
Thanks
Chelsea Warburton
