Criminology – Year 10, 11 and 12 Wednesday, 5 April
What makes a criminal mind tick? Students are invited to take part in the crime analysis of an actual case and gain an insight into the world of criminal justice.

Architecture Day – Year 10, 11 and 12 Thursday, 20 April
Students can experience what it’s like to be an architect for a day. We will take students through our state-of-the-art workshop and fabrication lab where students can build models with our woodworking equipment, 3D printers and laser cutter.

Bond Business School Year 12 Extension Program – Year 12 Friday, 28 April & Friday, 12 May
The Bond Business School Year 12 Extension Program is a two day workshop that assists students to transition to university. Our world class academics will focus on knowledge and skills that build upon senior curriculum. Students can be part of the select group of those handpicked for the opportunity to gain early direct entry into Bond Business School and be awarded a $5,000 bursary if students meet the eligibility criteria. Important information about the Bond University Scholarship Program
We are once again excited to offer a number of scholarships to your best and brightest students. Scholarship applications are open from 1 April to 31 July, and award up to 100% tuition remission for single and combined degrees (excluding Bond’s Medical Program). Students who excel in the areas of academia, leadership, community and sport are encouraged to review the scholarships available and apply online at www.bond.edu.au/scholarships. Please note, following a recent university review, only students who are predicted to achieve the following or better Year 12 results will be eligible to apply for an academic scholarship:
- OP 1 - 5
- IB Equivalent 33 or above

Bond University students most satisfied in Australia, according to Federal Government survey
Bond University students are the most satisfied higher education students in Australia, according to the 2016 Student Experience Survey (SES) results recently released by the Federal Government Department of Education and Training. Students from Bond University rated their overall educational experience higher than students from any other higher education institution in the country. The results of the SES are published on the Australian Government Department of Education and Training’s Quality Indicators of Learning & Teaching (QILT) website – www.qilt.edu.au, where prospective students can review and compare the performance of Australian Universities at both an institution and program level.

Updated Faculty of Health Sciences & Medicine Packages
Did you know students can accelerate their career in health by completing both a Bachelors degree and Masters specialisation in just 4 years? We are excited to announce our new Bachelors / Masters package options. When students complete their undergraduate degree, they can automatically be accepted into the professional Masters program. Students can pick one of the following degree packages*:
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Dr of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Health Sciences and Master of Occupational Therapy
- Bachelor of Health Sciences & Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice
- Bachelor of Biomedical Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice
- Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice

Actuarial Science Accreditation
On 11 February our first student from the two-year Bachelor of Actuarial Science program will graduate with a fully accredited degree. Bond is the only university in Queensland that has accreditation from the Actuaries Institute.
Actuaries are some of the most highly sought after professionals in the world. It has consistently been ranked amongst the top five jobs in the world and was ranked as the Number 1 Career by the Wall Street Journal in 2013 and was ranked Number 1 by Forbes in 2015 based on employability and salary expectations. The Bachelor of Creative Arts degree has now seen a revised offering of forty majors across disciplines: Humanities, Sports, Communication, Business, Creative Media, Communication, Criminology (social science) and Environmental Studies (urban affairs), Language, Psychology. Our Bachelor of Film & Television students finished the year of 2016 off in glitz and glamour on the red carpet to showcase their graduate films. Bond Business School Refurbishment
Level 3 of the Business School is currently undergoing significant refurbishment to deliver new state-of-the-art facilities and learning spaces for students. This project includes a Commercialisation Centre expansion, Big Data Centre and Transformer space. The future relies on innovation and while business incubators and accelerator initiatives like the 'Bond Business Accelerator' program have been pivotal in educating and supporting the entrepreneurs of tomorrow, the Transformer is the next step to providing access to entrepreneurial mentors for every Bond student that seeks this opportunity.

Students attending Harvard World Modern United Nations
International Relations students James Schiphortst, Lara Svenisson, Holli Sargeant, and Marty Campbell have been hand-picked to attend the Harvard World Modern United Nations (WorldMUN) at Harvard University from the 13 – 17 March, 2017. Having attended the 2016 Japanese University English Model United Nations, their passion and determination made the team stand out above the crowd which assisted in their selection for the upcoming WorldMUN event. They will be attending the event with over 2,000 other students from over 115 countries across the world. Their hard work and dedication will also see them meeting with the Australian United Nations ambassador where they hope to expand further on their cultural diplomatic skills.

Architecture Lecture Series
Our Architecture Lecture Series for 2017 has kicked off with our first lecture featuring guest speakers Paul Pholeros and Peter Stutchbury. International and nationally renowned Architects will be featured as guest speakers throughout the year. Graduate Films to air on ABC 2 iView
Talented graduates from the Bachelor of Film & Television degree have been selected for their graduate films to be aired on ABC 2 iView in late February. The initiative saw just twenty-two graduate student films selected from universities across Australia where the program aims to highlight the next generation of local Australian filmmakers. Keep an eye out and tune in to ABC 2 iView to view the following films:
- ‘Off Track’ written and produced by Georgie Patching and directed by Sam Lara.
- ‘Anchor’ written and directed by Emma Wright and produced by Ainsley Pettitt.
- ‘Ultramarine’ directed by Matthew Earl and written and produced by Nicola Murray.
