What is SLAS Student Services?

What is SLAS Student Services?
I get this question sometimes, so here is a brief outline and explanation.

Student Services at St Luke's includes those areas of school outside the academic curriculum including Student Protection, Pastoral Care, Behaviour Management, Student Leadership, Middle and Senior School Assemblies, Bus transport, Student Counselling and Student Welfare, High Performance Programs and many other student programs and issues as they arise in our changing world.

This includes our highly publicized culture of respect for others and our culture of  participation.

Highlights for me, as Head of Student Services this year include
Year 11 and Year 12 Camps,
guest speakers including
Bernie Kelly,
Sgt Owens,
Sen Sgt Marcus,
Day trips including
the Project Nightlife excursion and
our Anti bullying initiatives and
our whole school participation in many worthwhile causes.

My continued thanks goes to our School Chaplain Father Iain and our Youth Minister Mrs Griffin and our 4 House Coordinators, Mr Kersnovske, Mrs Weston, Mr Crook and Mrs Hill and all our PC teacher team for their help in Student Welfare and sorting out relationship issues throughout the year.

Special thanks to our front office Student Services staff for their professional and caring manner at all times.

Peter Robinson
Head of Student Services
