Bundaberg Patrol Group: Year 12's invited to participate in Project NIGHT LIFE in 2016· Tuesday, April 19

·         Tuesday, April 19

Project NIGHT LIFE is an innovative and collaborative partnership between Bundaberg Police, Bundaberg Hospital and the Bundaberg Bargara Liquor Accord focusing on Year 12 students transitioning to their next lifestyle stage. The project aims to inform students about personal safety in various environments and consequences that may arise when things go wrong. Students participate in a full school day excursion to a licensed venue, Bundaberg Hospital and Bundaberg Police Station where they hear from specialist guest presenters on subjects including:

Licensed Venue:  role of the Liquor Accord and Security, patron responsibilities/behavioural expectations, Liquor Licensing regulations, standard drinks, drink spiking, sexual health, alcohol and    other drugs.

Bundaberg Hospital:  Emergency Department CPR scenario, a real life trauma story (young person involved in a fatigue related road crash), organ donation and occupational therapy.

Bundaberg Police Station:  victim/witness/defendant interviews, statements, scenarios, Breath Analysis Section and visits to the watch house and vehicle holding yard.
